About Russell Vacherlon

A Life Shaped by Faith, Family, and Experience

Russell Vacherlon’s story is one of perseverance, spiritual growth, and deep-rooted values. Born in 1958 and a graduate of Bradley University with a degree in computer science, Russ built a steady 30-year career with the telephone company—navigating years of corporate change while staying true to himself and those around him. Over the decades, he became a trusted mentor and reliable leader, guiding both teams at work and youth on the field as a coach for baseball, soccer, and swimming.

Beyond professional life, Russ has always been grounded in his faith. A grateful believer in Jesus Christ, he actively participates in Bible studies and the Christ-centered Celebrate Recovery program. His belief in redemption, service, and lifelong learning continues to guide him every step of the way.

Russ is also a dedicated family man, proud father of two daughters and loving grandfather to three. Whether he’s glamping under the stars, casting a fishing line, or planning his next visit to a national park, he carries a sense of wonder and gratitude into every experience. For Russ, life is about more than achievements—it's about staying in the Word, helping others grow, and walking the path the Lord has placed before him. Read more of his insights on his blog.
